Skopelos

Kanaris Pool Cottage successfully combines the old farmhouse and the new extension to make a comfortable living space, with three small staircases from the entrance hallway leading to different levels within the house. The sitting room is down a few steps to the ground floor and has a corner fireplace and access to the private pool through French windows. The small but fully equipped kitchen is located at one end of this room. The level above the sitting room is accessed by 4 or 5 steps from the hall and has a bedroom furnished with two single beds and French doors leading to a private balcony.  A modern and spacious shower room is en-suite to the bedroom. The entrance to this bedroom does not have a door and is open to the entry level. The oldest section of the cottage has a stone stairway leading from the entry hall to a master bedroom with a double bed and day bed. It has wooden ceilings and the original, now decorative, fireplace and many windows to let in the light. The shower room is located off the entry hall and is, again, in the original section of the house, with stone floor and low ceiling.

The cottage’s  position allows for amazing views in all directions. It is surrounded by mature olive, walnut, almond, cypress, plum and fig trees from its origins as a working farmhouse. It has a small outdoor dining area conveniently located close to the BBQ and a small poolside terrace with sunbeds.  The fresh water pool measures 8m x 4m.

The Cottage is less than 10 minutes’ drive to the beaches at Glysteri and Glyfoneri, with their small selection of tavernas, with Skopelos Town just a few more minutes further down the hillside. Although so close to the town, its peaceful countryside setting amongst mature trees makes Kanaris Cottage feel quite secluded. For those who wish to explore, there are many country lanes and trails close to the cottage.

Couples and small families will enjoy Kanaris Pool Cottage and its countryside setting. The Cottage is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties due to the number of steps both outside and inside the house.  Car hire is recommended.

Please note the local taxi service to this house goes only to the end of the dirt-track driveway. Guests will need to walk the last 100m to reach the cottage when going by taxi.
