Kanapitsa is on the Kalamaki Peninsula with a delightful sandy beach with watersports and a excellent taverna. This is one of the most select areas on the island where some of the villas were built back in the late 1960's.

There are three excellent tavernas serving homecooked dishes, there is also a well stocked supermarket. The watertaxi offers a senic route to Skiathos Town and operates daily every half an hour until the evening to Skiathos Town. The walk upto the main road to the bus stop will take about 15 minutes.

To walk around the Kalamaki Peninsula on the southern tip of the island will take about one hour. The views are spectacular across the Aegean sea and up into the olive and pineclad hills. The beaches and bays are all gently shelving with crystal clear waters.
