Kanapitsa is on the Kalamaki Peninsula with a small, but delightful sandy beach with watersports and a excellent taverna. This is one of the most select areas on the island where some of the villas were built back in the late 1960's.

There are three tavernas here and the waterbus, which operates daily every half an hour. The walk upto the main road will take about 15-20 minutes.

To walk around the Kalamaki Peninsula on the southern tip of the island will take about one hour. The views are spectacular across the Aegean sea and up into the olive and pineclad hills. The beaches and bays are all gently shelving with crystal clear waters.
