Perched on a cliff 300 feet above the sea, this Small Luxury Hotel of the World is indeed luxurious and the architectural design is pure picture postcard. The focal point is the spectacular infinity pool, which seems to be suspended in the air, high above the Aegean.  Old and new are skilfully blended in the beautifully appointed rooms, where antiques and modern amenities go side by side.  

Wine tastings take place every evening to coincide with the daily spectacle of the caldera sunset, and the hotel also offers gourmet dining, whether by the poolside, by romantic candlelight or in the exclusive, intimate surroundings of the White Cave Restaurant, which has, as the name suggests, been quite literally carved out of the cliff.

Oia, although smaller and quieter than Fira, has equally spectacular views and is even more photogenic.  It is well supplied with supermarkets, shops and tavernas and the nearest beach for swimming is 3km.

23 rooms and 16 suites.  Double rooms: bedroom, shower room, private veranda with sea view. Junior suite: as above with sitting area and bath tub or shower.  Senior suite: larger living room and bathroom with Jacuzzi bath tub; some suites have loft bedrooms.  Superior suite: as above but more spacious, with sea view window in loft bedroom. The honeymoon suite also features a panoramic veranda with lounge, open air dining area, sun deck and open air Jacuzzi; the Katikies suite additionally has dining room, fireplace, dressing room and bathroom with hydro massage jet shower and Jacuzzi bath tub, plus outdoor Jacuzzi.  All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, CD player/radio, safe, mini-bar and hairdryer.
