Located under the church of Agii Anargyri and its wonderful bell tower within the peaceful village of Megalochori, Villa Ivi is a charming retreat from the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia.  Sheltered from the Cycladic winds, the traffic free lanes of Megalochori provide a peaceful and much sought after alternative Santorini holiday experience.

The romantic Villa Ivi once provided villagers with a safe haven from marauding pirates who invaded the island.  Today, the villa with its cool, vaulted interior provides an enchanting holiday home.  Close to the village square with its Venetian architecture, Villa Ivi is approached through painted blue doors which lead into a pretty and private cobbled courtyard.  Olive trees in large terracotta pots add a lovely atmosphere and the heated outdoor Jacuzzi is the perfect relaxation after a day out exploring the island or on the beach.

Quaint blue doors lead from the courtyard into the open-plan living area which houses not only the lounge, but a dining area and a well equipped kitchenette.  The living area leads onto the spacious master bedroom suite with its high domed ceiling and views over the courtyard.  A large bathroom serves the master bedroom.  The second bedroom has its own entrance from the courtyard and is of a comfortable size.  A short flight of stairs lead to the en-suite bathroom with shower.  Although it is possible for an additional 2 guests to be accommodated on a sofa bed in the living area, we feel this property is perfect for up to 4 guests. (Extra guests on sofa bed will incur additional costs).

One 5 seat car (third party insurance and unlimited mileage) only is included within the prices for this accommodation – parties larger than 5 will be required to hire an additional or larger vehicle at a supplement.  Also included are a daily refresh housekeeping service (2 hours) and full concierge services on request.  The villa is reached on foot along a footpath – just a few minutes from the closest parking area.

This is a great villa for either two couples or a small family who are looking for a private but elegant retreat from which to explore the beautiful island of Santorini.
