Around 25km south east of Parikia is the well developed small resort of Chrissi Akti.  Famous for its wonderful sandy beach, the village now offers visitors plenty of shops, bars and tavernas along with watersports centres offering surfboards and windsurfers for hire along with tuition.  Lining the beach are a number of beachside tavernas open throughout the day and into the evening.

Dryos is a peaceful little village further along the coast.  The tiny harbour is lined by fish tavernas with the daily catch being served straight from the boats.  There are views over to the uninhabited island of Dryos.

Although the villages offer all of the essential amenities for an enjoyable holiday, car hire is recommended for holidays in Chrissi Akti and Dryos.
