Just off the west coast of Paros nestles its small sister island of Antiparos covering an area of 35sq km. It is only ten minutes by ferry from Pounta or thirty minutes from Parikia, and is a perfect escape for those looking for a quiet holiday.

The only real settlement is Kastro (normally known as Antiparos) in the north where most of the 650 Antiperians live. It boasts a Venetian Castle  and is a delightful fishing village with a good selection of tavernas and a shady beach within walking distance. The renowned caves of Antiparos are well worth a visit and can be reached by local bus.
