Naoussa

The picture postcard village of Naoussa is a maze of narrow winding lanes, originially designed to confuse the would-be invaders. Today, these pretty whitewashed streets conceal a tempting array of tavernas, cafes, bars and shops set around a picturesque little fishing port.

Naoussa lies on the edge of a huge sheltered bay fringed by some of the islands finest sandy beaches, many of which are accessible by water taxi. The main port and town of Parikia is 11km away and easily reached by public transport.

Around the headland from Naoussa is the sandy beach of Agia Anargiri - a small beach where the water is crystal clear.  There are a few trees which line the beach casting some shade from the heat opf the sun but there are few facilities on the beach.

Around 15km from Naoussa is the fairly remote beach of Glyfades.  With access only via a dirt track or by boat, swimming here is in a crystal clear sea and sunbathing is far from the crowds of the other beaches on Paros.  Access is only via taxi or hire car.
