Set around a succession of picturesque bays, Parga is quintessentially Greek. Shuttered houses, colourful waterfront tavernas and charming cobbled lanes. The sand and shingle beaches are wonderful spots to laze in the sunshine with the crystal clear waters perfect for a refreshing swim, some of which are the finest beaches in Greece.

The town itself shelters behind a rocky outcrop, which is topped by a Venetian fortress that is illuminated after sunset, and the narrow lanes climb the hillside up to the old Turkish market. After dark, there are traditional tavernas and just a few bars along the waterfront. There is a beach in town and water taxis run frequently from the harbour or Valtos with its long sandy beach is around a 20-minute walk from town.

Many people regard Parga as being the most beautiful town in Greece, with its delightful location and fantastic beaches with crystal clear waters make it an ideal holiday location for families and couples.
