Agios Georgios
Agios Georgios, with its golden sandy beach and calm shallow bay, is perfect for children and beach lovers alike. There are several shops and tavernas(some of which are right on the beach), yet is also within easy walking distance of the bustling port, narrow arcaded streets and superb Venetian castle of Naxos town itself. The island is 450 square km and the local transport allows you to explore the other resorts mainly on the west coast but also the small hilltowns of Filoti and Apirathos surrounded by vineyards and dotted with fine churches.
