Adamas is the main resort and port of the island and is a beautiful seaside village of white houses shimmering on the blue waters of the Aegean.

There are two white sandy beaches, Lagada and Papikinou and the resort bustles with life along the waterfront. Here you will find the many shops, cafes and tavernas. There are many old churches to visit as well as mining and ecclesiastical musuems.

The harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the mediterranean.
