Lassi is situated between the airport and Argostoli. Much of the accommodation is hidden away in the pine trees that characterise the whole area.  The two main beaches are Makris Yialos (which means long beach) and Plati Yialos (meaning wide beach).  Both have the usual offerings of beach bars, tavernas and watersports.  Some areas of the beach are nesting places for the famous Loggerhead Turtles of the Ionian and therefore may be fenced off at times to protect these wonderful creatures.

Lassi is well placed to make the most of the local area - buses run frequently into Argostoli with its tavernas, shopping, museums, and other amenities.  The area along the coast is relatively flat although the hillside above Lassi can be steep in places.

Lassi is the perfect place to explore the intriguing island of Kefalonia.

Svoronata is located around 2km south of Lassi and around the same distance inland from the coast.  A rural setting set in a patchwork of orchards and olive groves,  the village is incredibly family-friendly and off the beaten track, yet just a short drive from the islands many attractions.

The local beaches include Ai Helis bay, and the gently shelving Avithos which remains uncrowded and leisurely.  The village itself is spread out with no discernible centre - most facilities are along the road towards Ai Helis beach.  Even though it is only minutes from the airport, Svoronata is a peaceful and scenically beautiful place - perfect to relax and leave the pressures of the world behind.

On the western peninsula of Kefalonia, the cliffs plunge dramatically into the sea creating picturesque gorges between the hills.  The tiny village of Agia Thelki is in the hills – where Vrysi Kera (a legendary freshwater spring) which according to tradition has been flowing since 1777. One of the most beautiful bays is Petani Bay - recently voted amongst the best beaches in Greece.  Just 8km from Agia Thelki is Lixouri – Kefalonia’s second town from where there are regular ferries across the bay to Argostoli.  The whole peninsula is uncrowded, unspoilt and generally un-touristy!  Landmark red sand beaches make the whole are a lovely choice for a relaxing holiday and a truly Greek experience.
