Vamos village, built on a hill with breathtaking views of the White Mountains, is noted for its natural beauty. The landscape surrounding the village is dramatic, with both cultivated areas and wild scenery. Our houses are spread out in the old neighbourhood of the village with views of the mountains and flowering gardens. Vamos is also only a short distance from the northern beaches of the Cretan sea, which guarantees visitors the chance to combine a beach and mountain village holiday.

Buildings from the last century have been sympathetically restored paying particular attention to their individual architecture, the aesthetics of the house and the local environment.  Materials used for restoration are mainly stone and cypress wood and the plaster is made using the special techniques of local builders.  Furnishings and decoration are also of local materials and fireplaces help to create a feeling of warmth. However, bathrooms and kitchens have been adapted to take into account modern day requirements.

Four character one bedroom semi-detached cottages and two recently built larger one bedroom detached cottages, sleeping 2 – 4 guests with shared swimming pool (car included).

For although the vine-shaded terraces, barbecue, swimming pool and old olive trees might be anticipated, there is also a small chapel. There is always somewhere here to find a peaceful spot to read, meditate or sleep the afternoon away.
