Villa Pasiphai is located in the centre of the picturesque seaside village of Kamilari. It was built in 1903 in a neoclassical style and fully restored in 1996.

This three storey villa is incredibly spacious and has 5 bedrooms with a panoramic view of the sea and the mountains.

On the ground floor, a living room that has a fireplace and an antique piano, a dining room, a spacious fully equipped kitchen with a second fireplace,  two bathrooms one with whirlpool bathtub 1.55 x 1.55m and the other with hydro-massage, home-spa shower cabin and the master bedroom.

On the first floor there are three double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and one gym-room.

Tthe second floor has a double bedroom with bathroom with shower.

The gardens contain a large swimming pool along with a separate childrens' pool. In addition to this there are large verandas, a garden around the pool a barbeque and private parking.

The villa is surrounded by high stonewalls offering total privacy.

Adjacent to the property are two separate sleeping areas with bathrooms, that can each accommodate a further 2-4 person. These cannot be booked separately, but can be booked wih the villa to accommodate a total of up to 18 people.

The village of Kamilari is located 2.5km west of the archaeological sight of Phaistos and 2.5km from the closest beach.

Kamilari is a quiet, traditional village with a panoramic view to the endless olive groves of the "Messara valley" on the one side, and to the Libyan sea on the other side. It has been inhabited since the Minoan period. There are tavernas located in the village and on the beach.

Throughout the year there are various festivals and events which celebrate the time-honoured Cretan way of life, including the October Raki Festival, the annual Carnival, Easter festivities, grape and olive harvests and a whole host of feast days. As for other attractions, the scenery takes some beating.

Heraklion and its airport are located 60 kilometres away, as is the port of Rethymnon.

Although not essential, car is highly recommended to appreciate the local area.
