The village of Sivas lies 62 km away from Herraklion,on the western slope of Asterousia Mountains - an altitude of 110m above sea level. It is a traditional village and features many monuments and buildings that have been perfectly preserved through many centuries.

The village square with a couple of tavernas and cafes as well as a mini-market, is an ideal base to explore Southern Crete . Sivas is close to the  archaeological sites of Gortys and Phaistos, and the beaches at Matala, Komos and Kalamaki.
