Situated just outside Melidoni, Villa Melita is completely private, surrounded by stone walls.  The approach is up a long driveway flanked by burgeoning orange trees and the house, although only a few years old, gives the impression of a stately home.

This impression is reinforced by the villa’s sumptuous interior – an elegant living room, lavishly equipped kitchen, baronial dining table, stylish bedrooms and ornate stained glass windows in the bathrooms, providing muted lighting from outside.  Large front and rear balconies offer sun, shade and expansive views of the Cretan countryside throughout the day.   The villa is set in grounds of 4000sqm with extensive lawns, a vegetable garden, a large pool terrace commanding splendid views, a built-in barbeque with traditional oven, a shaded sitting area, and a stone table for al fresco dining. This is a house you will never want to leave.

A car is essential.  There is a mini-market just 500m from the villa, but the nearest taverna is 3km away and the closest beach is at Bali, 9km away.

Landing with small sitting area and sofa (convertible to 2 extra beds to sleep up to 10) & access to rear balcony, 1 double bedroom with four-poster bed, en suite bathroom (bath and shower) and French windows onto front balcony; 1 twin bedroom; bathroom with shower.

Pool (10m x 4m) with sunloungers, barbeque, air conditioning, satellite TV, VCR/DVD, CD system, microwave, dishwasher, cleaning twice a week.
