Villa Verekinthos is situated in the outskirts of Gerolakos village in the foothills of the White Mountains some 14km south of Chania town. In the village itself there is a patrol station and a kafenion. For a choice of tavernas the small village of Kato Horio at the head of the Dyktynna Gorge is just a 3km drive, whilst a 6km drive will bring you to the village of Malaxa where there are two tavernas. For basic necessities, the village of Kontopoula (5km) has a small mini-market.

From the roadside parking area, stone steps lead up to a high walled gateway to the property, with an entrance door opening onto the terrace where the 30-sqm swimming pool is located. From there further stone steps lead up to the sunny main courtyard with rustic table and chairs. The main house is divided on three levels, with an entrance door into a living area with two comfortable leather sofas and expansive coffee table, plus a large open fireplace. There is also a flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player with Hi Fi system, and a Play Station. Up a short open staircase to the second level is the dining room with a large wooden table and comfortable seating. Opposite here is the small but very well equipped kitchen. Continuing up the open staircase to the third level brings you to a spacious bedroom with a comfortable iron double bed and ample wardrobe space, plus a dresser with mirror and a small sofa. A bathroom will full bath and a washing machine is situated just off the dining room.

A doorway from the kitchen leads out and across the courtyard to the two simple annexes. The smaller of the two has a simply furnished open plan living area with a small kitchenette to one side, plus door to a shower room. A wood & stone staircase leads up to a double bedroom with French windows opening onto to a balcony. A door off the living room leads into the living room of the second annex which has a nice sofa and open fireplace. A steep wooden staircase leads up to the third bedroom also with a double bed. A small shower room is located just off the living room and there is also a door leading back out to the courtyard, giving each annex independent access and a reasonable degree of privacy.
