At the head of a green valley, Villa Eleni is set in a small enclave of villas on the edge of Douliana and although traditional in design, encompasses all the benefits of modern living, even English Plumbing, and offers more than a modicum of elegance, both within and without its mellow, terracotta tinted walls. The infinity pool certainly catches the eye and is perfectly positioned to provide glorious sea and valley views.
Villa Eleni has two bedrooms which are situated off an internal hallway beyond the sitting area. The master bedroom, with en-suite shower room, has a king size double bed. This bedroom also has double doors leading out to the terrace with lovely views down the valley to the sea and a perfect spot for breakfast.
The second bedroom is twin bedded, off the small hallway are a well-appointed and gleaming full bathroom, plus a small closet housing a washing machine.
Villa Eleni has a roof terrace, with panoramic views of the White Mountains to the south and to the West the distant Cape Drapanos.
After a 5 minute walk, you will find a mini-market just off the village square, via a rustic 50 metre track that leads up to the main road, passing the picturesque old Venetian house and handy lemon trees of Manolis the carpenter. Yiannis a wonderfully traditional village taverna is a further 5 minutes walk away, down the short cut to the beach.
The pool dimensions are 7m x 4m with a minimum depth of 1m and 2.2m at the deep end.
Child Note: Beyond the pool terraces, there is a 2 metre drop down to the old olive groves and we therefore consider that Villa Eleni is not suitable for children under 10 years of age.
Finally please try to remember to shut the gate to the pathway that leads down into the olive groves. The local sheep can strip a garden bare in minutes!
