This sleek, modern and minimalist Villa is located just 200 metres from Almirida, with the sea on two sides of the lawned garden

Solid light oak flooring underfoot and ultra modern gleaming white kitchen fittings with ambient lighting do nothing to distract the attention from the open sea views. Kitchen units and fittings are installed to a very high spec, and incorporate dishwashers, full cookers, microwaves, large fridge freezers, as well as espresso coffee machines and juicers.

Satellite TV in the living area (as well as each bedroom) also deliver surround sound music throughout the villa.

The beautiful 8m x 4m pool sits in the curve of the land between the Villa and sea.
Atop the winding oak staircase the double bedroom is completely minimalist with its extensive hanging and storage space and entrance to the bath/shower room all hidden behind a sliding opaque glass wall. The bathroom features a whirlpool bath and rainfall shower ‘with a view’.
The second bedroom has an ensuite shower room with floral contemporary pink tiles.

The bedroom on the lower floor has sliding doors to a private sunken garden and a sea view of its own. Across the hallway, the Hamm am suite has steam room, sauna and rain shower head showers.

The completely private, outside lounging area is to the side of the house, built in ‘warehouse style’ with RSJ beams and stone walls but furnished with comfortable rattan lounging furniture.

22 km east of Chania, the pretty little seaside village of Almirida has two gently shelving sandy beaches fringed by sleepy waterside tavernas as well as a small fishing harbour and little rocky coves.,

The village now has several mini markets as well as a bakers, an internet cafe and a couple of trendy bars.

Mountain bikes can be hired locally and on the beach you can rent sun beds.

The rolling wooded countryside behind Almirida is some of the most beautiful in Crete and a walkers paradise, especially in April and May when spring flowers carpet the landscape in colourful abandon

. If you are looking for exciting nightlife Almirida is definitely not a good choice but for a quiet relaxing holiday by the sea, it certainly takes some beating.
