Alonissos

11 kilometres up the coastline from the port town of Patitiri is one of the most, (if not the most), scenic fishing village in the Sporades; Steni Vala. Its little waterfront has some of the very best fish tavernas, a couple of cafes and a super market. Here you can relax and enjoy watching the comings and goings of yachts and fishing boats, with the backdrop of Peristera island behind. Within walking distance of the harbour, and just a stones throw away from the shingle beach of Glyfa are Christou Houses.

Beach House
From a small entry hall the large open plan living room/kitchen area is accessed. The space is light and airy with open beamed ceilings and a corner fireplace. The furniture and decor is tastefully and artistically designed using items from the sea and surrounding nature. The kitchen is well equipped with wooden cupboards and at one end of the room is a wooden staircase leading up to a lovely gallery with two single beds which looks down upon the living room. Doors from the entry hall lead to the w/c shower room and bedroom, which is comfortably furnished with a double bed and has French doors leading to the front terrace. Throughout the house are wonderful views over the olive trees out to the sea beyond.

Beach Studio
This totally independent Studio located on the lower level of the Beach House is again, artistically decorated with warm homey touches and is comprised of a large open room with a double bed, a well equipped kitchenette including a small dining area and w/c shower room.

Car hire is not essential but recommended for ease of access to the other beaches and villages of the island. Bus service usually operates Mid June - Early September
